Entry level certification for divers wishing to utilise enriched air

Nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas.

Pre-requisites:   

                           Open water or equivalent.

                           Aged 18  years or over.

Course content: 

                           Minimum of 4 hours theory, covering mixes from

                           21% to 40%. Use of Buhlmann air and EAN 32/36

                           tables.

                           Written exam and 2 dives on a nitrox mix.

Advanced EANx

Price £220.00

This course is designed to extend the diver's knowledge in the use of EANx for recreational diving, using EANx mixes of 21% - 50%.

Pre-requisites:

                           BASIC EANx diver with a minimum of 15 logged dives or

                           Have experience as a deep air diver with a minimum of 50

                           dives, including 10 between 27 msw and 39 msw.

Course content: 

                           EAD concept, oxygen physiology, CNS and pulmonory

                           toxicity tracking, use of EANx as a decompression gas. Gas

                           switching techniques. Written exam, 4 open water dives.

Technical Diver

Price: £350.00

This course is designed for divers who are operating or wish to operate in the 50mtr. Range using custom blends and gas switching to optimise decompression using EANx or oxygen.

Kit Requirements:

Twin set with isolation manifold (in0² service), stage cylinder (min 7 ltrs) in 0² service.

Three regulators one with a 2 mtr hose one in 0² service for stage bottle.

Harness and wings.

Two reels, two delayed SMBs.

Two depth timers.

Primary and backup torch.

Pre-requisites: 

                          Advanced or Basic nitrox with a minimum of 150 logged

                          Dives, with at least 50 deeper than 27 mtrs.

Course content:

                          Four days, theory includes OTUs, oxygen theory, deco

                          Equipment, gas mixing and dive planning, written exam.

                          Minimum of 240 minutes bottom time made in 4-6 dives.

Normoxic Trimix Diver

OC & Rebreather

Price £400.00

This course is designed to train those who wish to dive to depths between 39msw and 60msw on OC and 51msw on rebreathers, but who do not wish to breathe air below 39msw. Trimix affords a means of reducing narcosis on dives to such depth.

Pre-requistes:

Must be Advanced EANx Diver / Rebreather Diver with a minimum of 100 logged dives with at least 30 deeper than 27msw. If on rebreather must have 20 dives and 25 hours on rebreather being used.

Kit Requirements:

As technical diver.

Course contents:

Between 4-5 days including theory on helium as a diving gas, mixed gas tables and software, bailout and gas switching, written exam, 5 dives (2 air or EANx and 3 trimix).

Trimix Diver

Price £450.00

This course has been designed for divers already operating in 50 mtrs +. Trimix diving moves divers into mission orientated diving and necessities the correct attitude self-sufficiency is vital. Trimix offers a safer alternative to deep air diving.

Kit requirements:

Twin set with isolation  manifold.

Two stage cylinders (min 7 ltr.) in 0² service

Four regulators, two for bottom mix, one with a 2 mtr. hose, two for stage cylinders and in 0² service.

Harness and wings.

Two reels two delayed SMBs.

Two depth timers.

Primary and backup torch.

Pre-requisites:

                          IANTD Technical Diver, log of a minimum of 200 dives

                          Including 25 between 39msw and 51msw.

Course Content:

                          Between 4-5 days, including theory on helium as a diving gas, physics and physiology of mixed gas diving, HPNS theory, mixed gas tables and software, written exam, 5 dives (2 air or EANx and 3 trimix).

Inspiration CCR Diver

Price: £550.00.

This is the entry level course for recreational divers wishing to utilise the AP Valves Buddy Inspiration Closed Circuit Rebreather.

The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for rebreather diving and to develop basic rebreather diving skills within the normal recreational depth limits of 40 msw.

Pre-requisites:

                          IANTD Advanced Nitrox Diver, log of a minimum of 100 dives.

Course content:

                          Five days, rebreather theory, written exam, 500 minutes of in water time. 

Trimix Rebreather

Diver

Pre-requisites:

Must be either Normoxic Trimix diver or Trimix diver (OC).

Must provide proof of a minimum of 200 logged dives at least 50 of which on rebreather.

Kit requirements:

As Trimix diver

Course Content:

If already OC Trimix diver min 150 mins runtime and at least 2 trimix dives.

If Normoxic diver min 240 mins runtime and at least 4 trimix dives. One dive must be to at least 60msw.

Nitrox Blender

This programme is designed to train competent personnel in the safe handling of oxygen and the preparation of EANx.

 Course content:

                            One day course, including safe handling of oxygen, gas mixing theory, oxygen cleaning, mixing systems, oxygen analyses and written exam.

Trimix Blender
